The Arts and Crafts movement in California was the dynamic blending of Native California style with strong influences from England and Japan. This birdhouse honors the brothers Green and Green who mastered this synthesis and dedicated their lives to successfully bridging Art and Architecture.

About this artist
Nancy Bane Cresta is an artist and educator. She is deeply influenced by the rhythms of nature as well as the History of Art, Architecture and Design. She teaches these subjects and coordinates the Visual Communications department at FIDM. Her artwork venues include painting, sculpture and architectural ceramics.
