About BirdHaus

The BirdHaus project presented by the Orinda Arts Council is a public art installation of artistic birdhouses designed by recognized and emerging Bay Area artists, architects, designers, builders and community groups.  They will be on display throughout Orinda from July to September 2006, bringing creativity and inspiration to our community while paying homage to Orinda’s natural setting and bird watching locale.

Celebrate and Support the Arts, Architecture & Community
These artistic habitats will be auctioned on September 9th 2006 at the Orinda Arts Council’s BirdHaus benefit party.  Auction proceeds and a portion of the BirdHaus benefit party ticket sales will help support community arts initiatives and music, drama and visual arts enrichment programs for area students.  Arts education is vital to student academic success and social development – helping our youth to build better lives.   The Orinda Arts Council’s BirdHaus project will also benefit the Mt. Diablo chapter of Habitat for Humanity.  Habitat for Humanity provides human and other resources to build affordable housing for people in need – helping them build better lives.

Through BirdHaus, Orinda Arts Council and Habitat for Humanity supported programs receive vital funding to build a more vibrant, better community.
